Road freight Spain → Veneto
Veneto is Italy's third region by both wealth produced and export value, behind Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. It exported EUR 80.0 billion of goods in 2025 — 12.4% of Italy's total, and worth roughly 40% of the region's own GDP, which is the figure that matters here: Veneto sells abroad more intensely than almost anywhere else in Italy. Venice sits about 1,270 km from our Barcelona hub, with LTL groupage on three weekly departures. Transit depends on the delivery zone — the table on this page gives it zone by zone, measured on real shipments.

The district that defines this lane is eyewear. The Belluno district counted 856 active local units and 17,731 employees at the end of 2022 and exported EUR 3.61 billion that year, almost 41% of the entire Italian sector's exports and almost 73% of Belluno province's own exports. It is also the one place on this corridor where a Spain-specific district figure exists: Belluno shipped EUR 190.313 million of eyewear to Spain in 2022, up 30.0%, making Spain the district's fifth-largest EU destination at 5.3% of its eyewear exports. No Veneto-wide Spain total is published, and we do not manufacture one.
The jewellery district at Vicenza is worth stating accurately, because it is usually overstated. Vicenza is frequently called Italy's largest gold and jewellery district; on its own chamber of commerce's figures it is the second. Vicenza exported EUR 1.8 billion of jewellery in the first nine months of 2024 with 4,934 employees across 717 local units, against Arezzo's EUR 5.3 billion and 46.6% of the national total. Second of three is still a serious source of high-value, low-weight outbound freight — it just is not first.
Porto Marghera at Venice has been quietly reindustrialising around recycled feedstock rather than petrochemicals. Eni runs a biorefinery there with 400,000 tonnes a year of processing capacity, rising to 600,000, on roughly 85% waste feedstock — used cooking oil, animal fats and agri-food residues — and Versalis started a mechanical plastics-recycling plant in March 2025 producing up to 20,000 tonnes a year of recycled polystyrene.
Verona, Venezia, Padova, Vicenza and Treviso cover the region. Verona and Padua carry the intermodal volume, Venice the seaborne and industrial flows at Marghera, Vicenza the high-value jewellery freight, and Treviso holds four municipalities of the Belluno eyewear district.

Local Infrastructure & Logistics in Veneto
The route into Veneto clears La Jonquera and Ventimiglia, runs the A10 and the Milan orbital, then takes the A4 east — 146 km of Brescia-Padova carrying about 93,000 vehicles a day, which is the single busiest thing about this leg. Verona is where the region's rail freight concentrates: Interporto Quadrante Europa covers 250 hectares with three rail terminals and eighteen 600-metre tracks, averaging roughly 15,000 trains a year of which 90% are cross-border, and a fourth expansion phase will add six tracks at the 750 m standard. Interporto Padova moved a record 411,958 TEU in 2024. The port of Venice handled 25.29 million tonnes in 2025 with 532,762 TEU, and Marco Polo is Italy's third-largest cargo airport at 54,731.3 tonnes. Two rule sets bracket the delivery window. Nationally, the 2026 driving-ban decree postpones the start of the Sunday ban by four hours for a vehicle arriving from abroad that carries documentation of the journey's origin — which applies to our trailers — and brings its end forward by two hours for one bound abroad. Regionally, Veneto restricts circulation from 1 October to 30 April, 08:30-18:30 Monday to Friday, in municipalities above 30,000 inhabitants and inside the agglomerations, with Euro 5 diesel commercial vehicles due to be caught from 1 October 2026 in the largest cities.

Frequently asked
What is the transit time from Spain to Venice?
Venice sits about 1,270 km from our Barcelona hub and LTL groupage runs on three departures a week, entering Italy at Ventimiglia and running east on the A4. Transit depends on the delivery zone — the table on this page gives it zone by zone, measured on real shipments.
Do you carry freight for the Belluno eyewear district?
Yes, and it is the clearest Spain-linked flow in the region. Belluno exported EUR 190.3 million of eyewear to Spain in 2022, up 30.0%, which made Spain its fifth-largest EU destination. Note that four municipalities of the official district perimeter sit in Treviso province rather than Belluno, and all of them price as standard Veneto coverage.
Is Vicenza Italy's largest jewellery district?
No — it is the second. Vicenza's own chamber of commerce puts Arezzo ahead on exports, firms and employees: EUR 5.3 billion and 46.6% of the national total against Vicenza's EUR 1.8 billion in the first nine months of 2024. Vicenza remains a major origin of high-value, low-weight freight for us, but the ranking is worth getting right.
Which postcodes do you cover?
CAP prefixes 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 37 and 45 — Venezia, Treviso, Belluno, Padova, Vicenza, Verona and Rovigo. Any postcode under those prefixes prices as standard Veneto coverage.
