Spain-Origin Road Freight · Non-EU Corridors
We run two non-EU corridors out of Spain: the post-Brexit UK lane and the Swiss lane. Both use the same customs-managed model: Spanish export paperwork filed in-house, destination import clearance coordinated through our licensed broker partners.
"We handle customs" is the most abused phrase in European freight marketing. In practice, handling customs at a non-EU destination requires a licensed customs agent in that country — holding a local EORI, registered with local authorities, and liable for the declarations they file.
SAVA is registered in the EU. We hold an EU EORI. We can file Spanish export declarations directly. We cannot — legally — file UK or Swiss import entries, and we won't pretend we can.
What we do instead is run customs-managed corridors: we own the export side end-to-end, we coordinate with established licensed broker partners at the UK and Swiss destinations, and we pre-lodge paperwork so your truck moves while clearance happens in parallel. Your load has one coordinator (us) and two customs jobs done by the people actually authorized to do each one.
We collect the load from your site in Castellar del Vallès, the wider Barcelona area, or anywhere in Spain the corridor supports.
Our team prepares the export declaration in Spain. We hold an EU EORI. Commodity codes, origin documentation, and the CMR are handled in-house before the truck leaves.
The truck moves while paperwork is pre-lodged at destination. That is the entire point of customs-managed: paperwork in parallel, not sequentially.
At the UK or Swiss border, our licensed broker partner (who holds the matching UK or Swiss EORI) files the import entry on your behalf. SAVA is not itself the customs agent at destination — that is the broker's role.
Cleared load goes to the consignee. You get proof of delivery and the closed customs file.

Because clearance at UK and Swiss destinations is performed by a licensed broker at destination, not by SAVA. We manage the corridor end-to-end — meaning we coordinate both sides — but the actual UK or Swiss import entry is filed by someone who holds the matching UK or Swiss EORI. Saying 'we handle customs' would overstate what we legally do.
Our UK broker partner holds a UK EORI. We hold an EU EORI. The two are linked on the import declaration so your load has a clear path through both sides.
Duty and import VAT are typically paid by the importer of record — usually your UK consignee or a fiscal representative. We can coordinate with your broker or theirs, but we don't pay duty on your behalf.
Commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes, incoterms, consignee EORI, and any origin documentation (EUR.1, supplier declarations) if preferential rates apply. We'll send a concise checklist the first time you ship.
If the UK or Swiss authorities flag for inspection, transit stops until released. We share the inspection notice immediately; our broker partner liaises with the authority. We don't charge waiting time for first-instance customs inspections — only if follow-up paperwork on your side causes additional delay.
