Central Transdanubia is the stretch of the M1 corridor between the Austrian border and Budapest, which means freight for this region leaves the motorway earlier than anything bound for the capital or the east. Székesfehérvár sits roughly 1,820 km from our Barcelona hub, and LTL groupage runs 4-5 working days on two weekly departures.

Its best-known manufacturer is not on the motorway network. Magyar Suzuki's Esztergom plant is Suzuki Motor Corporation's sole European manufacturing base — it built 160,338 cars in 2023, up 24.3% year on year, exporting 92.9% of output to 123 countries, and 108,072 passenger cars in 2025. The M100 that would link it to the M1 is designed and permitted: 32.3 km, 2x2 lanes, a 110 km/h design speed and, explicitly, no emergency lanes, running from a new M1 junction at Bicske–Mány past three tunnels to the road 117 junction at Esztergom-Kertváros. Its status on the state investment portal reads "preparation completed", with no published completion date. Until it is built, Esztergom deliveries finish on main roads.
The same pattern repeats south. There is no motorway across Fejér county between the M7 and the M6: the M8 section from the M7 to Dunaújváros exists only as a completed design. Dunaújváros itself is on the network via the M6, and the built M8 section east from there to Dunavecse carries the Pentele bridge over the Danube — but the east-west link that would tie the region's southern half together is not there.
What the region does have is Danube frontage and a working industrial base. Four Danube port operators in the region appear in the Hungarian Danube Ports Federation directory: Centroport at Dunaújváros, Adony Logisztikai Központ at Adony, MAFRACHT at Nyergesújfalu and MAHART PassNave at Komárom. None of them is a national public port — KSH names only Baja, Csepel and Győr-Gönyű — and Rail Cargo Group lists no intermodal terminal anywhere in the region, so road remains the way freight arrives here.
Székesfehérvár, Dunaújváros, Tatabánya, Esztergom, Veszprém and Komárom cover the region. Tatabánya and Székesfehérvár sit closest to the motorway spine; Esztergom is reached on main roads until the M100 is built.

The route into Central Transdanubia enters Hungary at Hegyeshalom and runs the M1 east, with the region's traffic leaving the motorway before Budapest — Tatabánya off the M1, Székesfehérvár towards the M7 corridor, Dunaújváros down the M6, and Esztergom north on main roads because the M100 is not built. One constraint dominates scheduling on this leg: the M1 is under reconstruction and widening to 2x3 lanes plus intelligent hard shoulder across the whole approach, phase I from the M0 to Bicske due 31 August 2028 and phase II from Bicske to Concó due 31 August 2029, executed section by section under 2+1+1 lane diversions that hold capacity near 2x2 during works. The operator's live restriction table shows works on the km 16-39 stretch running to 30 September 2026 with lane closures at the Herceghalom and Biatorbágy junctions through August 2026. Add Hungary's HGV driving ban under Government Decree 190/2008 and a Saturday afternoon that slips becomes a Monday delivery. Both are in the 4-5 day band already.

Furniture, food and beverage and e-commerce restocking run across the region.
Székesfehérvár is roughly 1,820 km from our Barcelona hub and LTL groupage delivers in 4-5 working days on two departures a week. The band is stated in working days because it already absorbs the Hungarian HGV driving ban and the live M1 widening works.
Yes. Esztergom is standard coverage for us, but it is not on the motorway network — the M100 link from the M1 is designed and permitted with no construction date, so the last stretch runs on main roads. We plan the delivery window around that rather than quoting as though the motorway existed.
Automotive components and production tooling for the Esztergom plant and its suppliers, electronics and engineering freight for the Székesfehérvár cluster, and construction materials into the Dunaújváros industrial estate. Furniture and e-commerce restocking run alongside them.
