SAVA LOGISTIC — European Road Freight Specialists

How does the freight shipping process work with SAVA Logistic?

SAVA Logistic follows a six-step process from quote to delivery: (1) Quote request via online form, (2) Written quote after team review, valid 24 hours, (3) Booking confirmation with driver and vehicle details, (4) Pickup and transit with real-time tracking, (5) Customs handoff for UK/Switzerland corridors, (6) Delivery with ePOD. Every shipment is backed by CMR liability insurance.

  • •Six-step transparent process from RFQ to ePOD
  • •Written quote typically after team review, valid 24 hours
  • •Real-time GPS tracking and milestone updates
  • •CMR liability insurance on every load

How a Spain-origin freight shipment works

Six steps from RFQ to ePOD. What happens at each stage, what we do, what we ask of you, and what you see. Transparent end-to-end for LTL, ADR, and customs-managed UK/CH lanes.

The six steps

1

Quote request

You share the lane and shipment profile. The RFQ form captures everything we need in one pass so nothing comes back as a second-round question.

What we do
Route the request to the dispatcher who runs your corridor. Acknowledge receipt so you know it's in the queue.
What you provide
Origin postcode → destination postcode, pallet count, weight, LDM if non-standard, ADR class if any, ready-date, preferred Incoterm, any timing constraints.
What you see
Confirmation of receipt, typically within business hours. If anything is missing, we ask once rather than drip-feed.
2

Quote issued

Operations reviews lane fit, confirms equipment and driver availability, and returns a written quote. No placeholder rates — the number you see is the number we'd book at.

What we do
Check scheduled-lane availability, ADR compatibility and segregation rules if relevant, customs complexity for UK/CH, and return a line-itemized quote (base rate, BAF fuel surcharge, any ADR or non-stackable uplift).
What you provide
Nothing at this stage. If we need a clarification (e.g. exact UN number for an ADR load), we'll ask.
What you see
A written quote, typically after team review during business hours. ADR loads, customs-managed UK/CH, or unusual constraints may take longer while we confirm specifics.
3

Booking confirmed

You accept the quote; we lock in the slot. The confirmation sets the pickup window, the driver and vehicle, and the documents we need from you.

What we do
Issue a booking confirmation with pickup window, driver and truck details, documents checklist, and any special instructions (ADR class segregation, temperature, loading access).
What you provide
Accept the quote in writing. Share the commercial invoice, packing list, and — for UK or CH — HS codes, consignee EORI, and any preferential-origin documents.
What you see
Booking confirmation, document checklist, and the name of the dispatcher managing your load.
4

Pickup & transit

The driver arrives within the agreed window, checks the load, signs the CMR, and departs. From here it's about visibility, not surprises.

What we do
Pick up on-window. Sign the CMR against your counted-out load. Provide status updates at departure, key milestones (border or hub crossings), and — for multi-day transit — a daily check-in. Escalate immediately if anything deviates.
What you provide
Load the truck within the loading window. Confirm any last-minute contact details for the consignee if they've changed.
What you see
Departure notification, milestone updates, and the dispatcher's direct line if you need to reach us mid-transit.
5

Customs handoff (UK / Switzerland only)

For non-EU destinations, customs runs in parallel to the truck — not sequentially. Skip this step for intra-EU lanes; intra-EU loads go straight from transit to delivery.

What we do
For UK: prepare the Spanish export declaration through a licensed customs broker (we hold an EU EORI and file the ENS); destination import handled via our licensed UK broker network. For Switzerland: Spanish export through a licensed customs broker; Swiss import coordinated with partner customs brokers. Pre-lodge paperwork so clearance happens while the truck is moving.
What you provide
Commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes, consignee EORI, EUR.1 or supplier declarations if claiming preferential duty. We send a concise checklist the first time you ship a UK or CH lane.
What you see
Customs file references, the broker partner handling your destination entry, and — if anything flags for inspection — immediate notification with the inspection notice.
6

Delivery & POD

The driver delivers within the agreed window and captures proof of delivery. You get the ePOD within hours of delivery; invoicing follows on your agreed payment terms.

What we do
Deliver within the agreed window. Capture signed proof of delivery — ePOD on the driver's device where available, paper POD scanned and uploaded otherwise. Close the customs file for UK or CH loads. Invoice per your agreed Incoterm and payment terms.
What you provide
Receive the load. If anything is short, damaged, or disputed, note it on the CMR at delivery — CMR annotations are what insurance claims rely on.
What you see
ePOD typically within hours of delivery, closed customs file for non-EU lanes, and the invoice per your agreed terms.

What protects you throughout

Every SAVA LOGISTIC shipment is backed by these safeguards — whether it's a single pallet or a full truck.

✓

CMR liability insurance

Every load travels under CMR convention coverage. Our carrier liability is backed by an annual policy with a top-tier European insurer — not a per-trip bolt-on. If anything happens in transit, the claim process starts from our side, not yours.

✓

Real-time tracking & escalation

Departure confirmation, border-crossing milestones, and a daily check-in on multi-day transits. If anything deviates from plan, your dispatcher escalates before you need to ask.

✓

Document trail from day one

CMR, commercial invoice, packing list, customs references (UK/CH), ePOD — every document is filed, timestamped, and retrievable. You never chase paper.

✓

ADR & regulatory compliance

Our ADR drivers hold current certificates. Vehicles carry required placards, PPE, and fire suppression. For low-emission-zone cities (Paris, London, Milan), tell us when you ask for a price and we assign a truck that meets that zone's rules.
