A public holiday carries the same ban as a Sunday. These are the ones ahead.
Summer Saturday motorway bans. 1 July–31 August, Saturdays 07:00–20:00, trucks over 7.5 t on listed A-roads (e.g. A1, A2, A3, A8…). Exact roads per the Ferienreiseverordnung.
Exemptions. Combined transport to/from the nearest terminal, perishable foods, livestock and some other categories are exempt.

Trucks over 7.5 t cannot drive in Germany on Sundays or public holidays between 00:00 and 22:00, nationwide. From 1 July to 31 August a Saturday ban of 07:00-20:00 is added on listed motorways such as the A1, A2, A3 and A8. Combined transport to or from the nearest terminal, perishable food and livestock are among the exempt categories.
