What does SAVA LOGISTIC handle for festivals and European tours?
Staged deliveries to the same site during the build, in the windows set by the production; the return of the equipment when the load-out ends; and tour legs by full trailer between Spain and the countries on its European corridors, with storage in Castellar del Vallès between a tour and the next festival. Loading and set-up crew on request. No technicians, no rigging and no pyrotechnics (ADR Class 1).

What we do for festivals and tours
A festival is not built with one truck: structures, stage, backline, furniture and catering equipment arrive on different days, and everything leaves at once at the load-out. We plan staged deliveries to the same site in the windows set by the production, and the return when the load-out ends.
On tour, we move the equipment from date to date by full trailer between Spain and the countries on our European corridors. Between the end of a tour and the next festival, the equipment can stay in our Castellar del Vallès warehouse.
On request we provide a loading and set-up crew. We do not provide technicians or rigging, and we do not carry pyrotechnics (ADR Class 1).
What we don't do

How we work
At the agreed time
The delivery time or time window at the venue is set in the quote, and we plan the route to meet it.
Venue access
Before assigning a vehicle we ask about access: loading dock or not, narrow street, city centre, and the venue's own load-in hours.
Tail-lift, city vehicle or trailer
A truck with a tail-lift for venues without a dock, a small vehicle for city-centre access and a full trailer for large builds or long legs.
Loading and set-up crew
On request, crew to load, unload and set up at the venue the equipment we carry.
Collection after the event
We come back for the equipment when the event or the load-out ends, in the window we agreed.
Weekends and nights
We deliver and collect at weekends and at night, which is when events are built and struck.
Storage between events
Your equipment can stay in our Castellar del Vallès warehouse between one event and the next instead of going back to your depot.

Rules worth knowing
Cabotage
EU rules limit how many operations a truck can carry out inside another EU country within a short period. A tour with several dates in the same country is planned with that in mind.
Dates outside the EU
For the United Kingdom or Switzerland, touring equipment that leaves and comes back usually travels on an ATA Carnet.

Trucks over 7.5 t face weekend and public-holiday restrictions in several countries. Event equipment has three exemptions we have checked against the official text, all with conditions:
France
A permanent exemption, with no permit to apply for, for equipment and material for economic, sporting, cultural, educational, charitable or political events, if the event takes place no more than four days before or after the journey. At a roadside check, the driver must prove it with documents on board or in digital form.
Return: loaded, within the event's region and neighbouring regions; empty, within the region of first loading or last unloading and neighbouring regions.

Truck bans in France →Italy
No automatic exemption: the prefecture may authorise vehicles for live shows, sporting events, trade fairs and markets, with documents showing the need to travel. The request is filed at least ten days before departure, with the prefecture of the province of departure or of the haulier's registered office, and the truck displays a green sign with the letter “a”.
Return: empty only if the permit says so.

A permanent exemption, with no need to request it, for loaded vehicles setting up trade fairs, exhibitions and shows or serving sporting, cultural, educational or political events. Basque Country roads only.
Return: covers empty vehicles linked to those journeys.

Each exemption depends on meeting its conditions and on the authorities (the prefecture in Italy, the officers at each roadside check). SAVA cannot guarantee that the truck will run at the weekend: we check every route when we quote. Official texts checked on 25 September 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Can you make several deliveries to the same site during the build?
Yes. Tell us what arrives in each phase and in which window, and we plan staged deliveries and the return at the load-out.
Can the truck run on a Sunday in France, Italy or Germany?
It depends on the country, the weight and the event. France exempts equipment for cultural or sporting events held no more than four days before or after the journey; Italy requires a prefecture permit at least ten days before departure; Germany has no general exemption for event equipment. We check it when planning the route.
And the return trip, once the equipment is unloaded?
In France, after the event the truck may run loaded within the event's region and neighbouring regions, and empty within the region of first loading or last unloading and neighbouring regions. In the Basque Country the exemption covers the empty vehicle. In Italy, empty only if the permit says so.
Do I need an ATA Carnet for a date in London or Zurich?
Generally yes, for equipment that leaves the EU and comes back. The owner of the equipment requests it from the Chamber of Commerce. Our ATA Carnet guide explains the process.
